Its active ability to sacrifice a Goblin for 1R and inflict two damage to a creature or player lets the player, should one prefer a passive style, quickly put the tokens put into play by other cards into the graveyard in order to reduce their life points over the opponents defense
You could probably make several more decks for the cost of these cards alone
For instance, creatures with flying or trample do those things, in the same way that a creature with intimidate, intimidates things
Modern MTG asks you to pay 4+ mana to bring a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield, so paying only 1-2 mana is a huge deal
For green ramp decks you don't need these heavy ongoing mana sources
It can be a lot of fun, and it can perform well in a less optimized setting, but I wouldnt go into this deck expecting to win any big competitive events
