The Oret family tree builder allows family members to extend the tree by adding their other families. This feature makes it possible for family members to collaborate and grow the tree.
Extending the tree as a male family tree member
A male family member can extend the family tree by adding his immediate family if they weren’t added when the tree was first created. He can extend his parents, brothers, sisters, spouse, and children.
To extend your family tree, click on your profile icon, and a pop-up will appear.
On the pop-up, choose Extend Family button. And will direct you to a tree-building space with a button to extend your family in the bottom right corner.
When you click the button, a pop-up will appear where you can choose the family member you want to add.
When you choose the person you want to add, a form will appear where you should add their details and click the Save button to add the person to the tree.
The extended family members will appear in the main family tree. You can use the same process to add all other immediate family members.
Extending the tree as a female family member
A female member can extend the family tree if she is married or a single mother. For the married, she can extend the family tree by adding her spouse, in-laws, and children. A single mother can extend the family by adding her children.
To extend the family tree, click your profile icon, and a pop-up will appear.
Click the Extend Family button to proceed. A pop-up will appear where you can choose the person you want to add.
Once you choose the family member, you want to add, a form will appear where you will add their details and then click save. You can add the same process to add other family members. The extended family tree for a female will not appear in the main tree. You can access the family tree by going to the extend tree feature.
